Couponing

Have you ever considered saving money on your grocery bill? A survey that I conducted in the local community revealed that 71% find that they spend too much on their groceries on a monthly basis. Of these surveyed only 67% are doing anything about it. The magic trick here is called couponing. Couponing is an efficient way to save on groceries. Of the 43% that said that they hardly ever use coupons, their monthly average was $176. Compare this to the $190 a month average that people spends. This is a $14 savings just by, hardly, using coupons. Think of the possibilities if you up the usage to 50% of the time, most of the time, or every time you go. Finding coupons, clipping them, storing them, and remembering all of the ones that you want to use is a skill that takes time and practice. Among the crowd that I surveyed, they reported some of the places that they receive their coupons. If you’re interested, keep an eye out for coupons in the newspaper, ads in the mail, in store coupons, from friends who find a lot, and from online sources like coupons.com, smartsource.com, and smithsfoodanddrug.com. Although it may seem all good at first, you also must consider all of the manufacturer’s gimmicks. I’m interested to do some further research and interviewing to find out how to avoid some of the pitfalls many new couponers fall into, and how to get the very most out of the very least.
